I decided to pimp this group because what I think they are doing is fantastic! You guys should all check it out! http://www.furaffinity.net/user/projectgirllove/The group was made by Pensive: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/pensive (Listed below is what is on the PGL front page:) "A lot of people (myself included, sometimes) complain about how much girlhate there is on FA (ie, comments on pictures of women saying things like "eww girls" or "this would've been better male :C"), but no one has done anything to change that so far. Being who am and hating complaining but doing nothing about it, I finally AM doing something. I'm starting a just-for-fun project for people like me to want to see more art of women on FA! What do you have to do? Not much. Guidelines: 1. MUST be a new piece of art done specifically for this project. the purpose is to draw MORE, not just advertise your old art! 2.--If you're a girl, draw yourself as an artistic nude---ie, nonsexual nudity (if you don't draw nudity you can exclude the mature bits). --If you're male, draw yourself as an artistic nude as a girl instead of a guy (or draw one of your female characters, or your girlfriend, or a friend, with permission, same thing). --If you don't draw at all, ask a friend to do the above for you (or if you have the cash, commission someone). 3. Obviously all skill levels are welcome, novice to Da Vinci, as well as any and all media (2D OR 3D!) 4. When you finish the picture link me to it by sending me a note on this account and I'll upload your picture to this account for everyone to see and admire (linking back to you as the artist, as well, so extra pimpage for you!). If you happen to post the pic to your FA, though, please atleast return the favor and link to this account. ;) So...what will this do? Probably nothing at all, but atleast you're doing something more productive with your time than just complaining! ;)"So, it's pretty simple. Draw a new picture of a female character (yours, a friend's, girlfriend's, made-up, whatever!" that is a tasteful nude (non-sexual!) and submit it to this group! (Or cover the naughty bits tastefully if you don't like to draw nudes!) I think this is absolutely AMAZING and I am glad that someone is standing up to fA's girl-hate in a fun, productive manner. I hope this group gets big and it gets the message across that you can't put someone down just because of their gender! Feeling?: YAY!

Okay, so I have a list of people who are willing to participate: -Icen http://www.furaffinity.net/user/icen (Single character, no background $20; all extras free except extra characters +$5) -Cupcake http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sixredclovers/ (????) -Cassie http://www.furaffinity.net/user/redrumwolf (Conbadge $25) -Celest http://www.furaffinity.net/user/jacolf (Single character, no background $30) -Kiyoshi http://www.furaffinity.net/user/wolvenremorse (????) -Ghost http://www.furaffinity.net/user/clockworkgh0st (????) So far, with extras and question marks not taken into account, this totals $85. Everyone that is listed up here with question marks should chose something they want to do soon...and also think of possible extra fees. Kiyo came up with a good idea of pimping this charity through submissions/pictures instead of just journals on LJ and fA. I think that's a good idea, but not one that should be -required-. I also think it would catch more peoples' attention, but it's not something you should spend hours on; just a nice doodle about the auction that people will look at. Which reminds me; I originally wanted this to be an auction...so hm...I'm trying to think of how to do this now. The thing is, we have set prices for our commissions...but we need people to want to compete to bid higher and higher to get a better fund of charity. What do you think we should do? Should we just keep them at the commission prices or make it an actual auction that rises with bids? Please respond! If anyone else would like to join, be my guest and look here! http://icen-rose.livejournal.com/313353.htmlFeeling?: busy

So I have been thinking more and more about the "Help Sammy" fund I want to do, and I have come up with guidelines for it. 1) For the artists involved: -You will be doing a drawing of your choice at the normal prices that you charge. It's going to be treated like a normal commission. So all extras that you usually charge will be included, depending on what the bid-winner wants. -You will have a three (3) month deadline after the bid-winner fully agrees to the terms and conditions and has paid in full. When I say three months, I MEAN THREE MONTHS. You have EXACTLY THAT MANY DAYS TO COMPLETE THIS AND SEND OUT YOUR IMAGE TO THE WINNER. Now I don't necessarily expect you to be sending out a digital commission traditionally, but for those of us that do traditional work, I EXCEPT IT TO BE COMPLETED AND SEND OUT WITHIN THIS TIME LIMIT. I know time limits suck; I have a lot of shit I have to do too. But this is important. -You will keep in mind that YOU WILL RECEIVE ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THIS MONEY. Zip, zero, nada, nichts, nein, whatever language you want to say "nothing" in. Every single penny of this money will be going to Chelsea and Sammy. Remember, this is a CHARITY. -If you have an EMERGENCY and cannot participate, that is fine. But it has to be an EMERGENCY, not just "I'm too tired/lazy to get this done." I want DEDICATED people to do this. 2) For the bid-winner: -You cannot pick and chose who you want to participate as an artist. You will be paying for ALL of the artists' efforts and work. If you want extras thrown into a certain image done by a certain artist, you must speak to them about it. You will be charged the normal amount of commission work. -The artists STILL can refuse what and what not to draw, according to their own guidelines. Some will draw more adult/fetish material than others, or some may not. This still must be respected. -The artists have a three (3) month limit to complete and (in traditional) ship out their items. It is expected the bid-winner realize this and is patient with the three month deadline. They cannot pester or bother the artists about hurrying up. -The bid-winner must remember that not everyone is on the same level as others when it comes to art. They have to respect each artists' unique style and way of conducting a piece. Again, they cannot pick and chose their artist; they are paying for all of the participating artists. -Shipping is required as per the artists' own guidelines. As I said, I don't expect people to send out traditional print-outs of digital artwork unless they WANT TO. If they want to, then the deadline still applies. If you are interested in being an artist to help, PLEASE LEAVE SERIOUS RESPONSES. I want SERIOUS, DEDICATED PEOPLE ONLY. Not people that are iffy, not people that will probably have other things to do with their time. If you have any suggestions or ideas to make this work better, PLEASE feel free to discuss this with me. I have no problems whatsoever discussing tactics that will help out the situation and make it achieve more goals. Feeling?: serious

From the journal of blaze_husky http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10157 35 "Hey everyone.. I know I've been asking so much of everyone lately regarding Sammy in the contest. It feels as if, as soon as there's some sense of relief that the contest is coming to an end, something else happens. The Oprah Winfrey show has been canceled; I'm not going into why, but now everyone in the competition is back at square one. This is where I'm asking for all of your help for one last time.. (hopefully). I wanted to know if several people could post on the blog here: http://cutestdogcompetition.com/blo.....r-favorite-do/ about why Sammy should win. Most of you know why I've entered my dog, and why I need the money(she needs the money to move into a bigger apartment that allows pets, and to fly her dog from Ohio to Pennsylvania where she lives now). However, I'm not sure how much of my story the judges know, and they're the people that my story needs to have an impact on, since Sammy has fallen way behind and is now in last place in regards to the voting. Please don't post anything about the other contestants or dogs, just something short and sweet about why I should be in the top 4. It would mean so much to me if several people could take the time to do this for me. I'm sorry for expecting so much from all of you, but I can't do this alone. Thank you guys." PLEASE GO AND DO THIS! If you already have an account on that site it will be easy to do! Please lend a hand to helping out Sammy!! Feeling?: hopeful

From the journal of blaze_husky "Sammy is a top finalist, and we need your votes again! Chelsea is very close to having Sammy here in PA with her, and I am doing everything I can to help this become a reality! All I need you guys to do is go to this link: http://www.cutestdogcompetition.com/semifinals.cfm?h=378D468037B662C22FD70A9E54B32D76&t=66862526 register a valid email address and create a password, so you can vote for Sammy daily until the top 4 cutest dogs are chosen. I didn't realize this would ever become a reality, but I think there is a very high possibility that Sammy may take home the prize. Thank you guys for your time and consideration, it means so much to my sister and her girlfriend!" If you remember, many weeks ago we advertised for Sammy to win one of the 12 weeks of the rounds. And he won the first week because people came out and supported him! It would mean a lot to Blaze and her friend if you voted for Sammy! All you have to do is register a valid email address and vote once a day! It takes a few seconds and it REALLY helps! Please, remember the goal is not to brag about winning a competition. The goal is to reunite Sammy and his owner Chelsea together and to have the money to do it! It would mean a lot to me if my friends did this, just once a day! Save this link and take only seconds to vote just once a day! And please, repost this journal! In Live Journal, Deviant Art, Fur Affinity, Sheezy Art, Furocity; wherever you have a blog! Send a mass email to your family and friends! Feeling?: hopeful
